Getting to Sheffield

Sheffield is located in the centre of England and offers easy access by road, rail and air. Even though it is England’s fourth largest city, upon arrival you will find it easy to navigate.

Arriving by road

Central to the motorway network Sheffield has excellent access to and from the M1, M18, M62 and A1.

Arriving by train

With excellent rail access to the whole of the UK, Sheffield is an ideal choice for those travelling by train. Once in Sheffield use Stagecoach Supertram (the city’s light rail network) to get around the city.

Travelling times to Sheffield

London:  2 hours 07 minutes

Birmingham:  1 hour 10 minutes

Manchester:  50 minutes

Arriving by air

Sheffield City Centre is just a short distance from Doncaster Sheffield Airport (approximately 35 minutes by car). This,  the UK’s newest airport, Easy Jet offers a low cost flights to Europe including a daily connection to Amsterdam. A direct rail link from Manchester airport links with Sheffield in just over 1 hour.
